PDK International will lead a one-day learning session to increase the knowledge and skills of GSBA members around issues of equity, access, and opportunity in support of greater success for all students. School board members will learn about the results of the 2017 PDK poll of Georgians’ attitudes towards public education and use it to plan for increasing student achievement throughout the State.
PDK International applies a systems approach involving six elements of change: values, governance, resources, content, talent, and culture. These provide a framework for adaptive change management that recognizes:
- learning new ways, shifts in attitudes, beliefs and behaviors are essential; and
- implementation is only as good as the desire of people to make the changes necessary to improve outcomes for all children.
